The current economy is vertical, competitive and fragmented. The economy of the future would be the opposite: horizontal, collaborative and unified.
The road to a collaborative economy requires a rethinking of current business models and a new view on markets. We need to redesign businesses from the bottom up to be open, agile and connected. That’s the concept behind the #NewEraBiz.
How do we get there?
We need to develop new ecosystems capable of sparking next-generation entrepreneurs and accelerating advanced enterprises. At Lumos For Business, we want to connect into these new ecosystems and work collaboratively to develop strategies and business models for the #NewEraBiz.
As a GENY-driven entity:
- we are wired to work socially and we are naturals with technology;
- we believe that mobility and flexibility are essential elements for doing business in today’s world;
- we look at what is happening in other markets for inspiration and travel often to expand our cultural knowledge;
- we see ethics as a standard for great companies, not a roadblock to profitability.
Thus we have built all of these elements into our process. We are flexible, mobile and global. Naturally we prefer face-to-face contact, but we can work through Skype or Google Hangout or jump on a plane if necessary. And languages are not a barrier: we habla Spanish, a gente pode chat in Brasilian Portugues et if you parlez-vous français, on parle un peu.
Our focus is on generating the result for the entity as a whole, not trying to stack up individual accolades. We are entrepreneurs, so we are never trying to log hours to hit a monthly quota.
